ARRIVALS

On Monday, July 3rd, 2023, participants should arrive before 3:00 p.m. local time at Hotel ALIMARA (Carrer de Berruguete, 126, 08035 Barcelona), where the BIYSC Staff Team will be waiting for them to do the check-in.

At least one staff member will be waiting for participants arriving at the airport, train, or bus station for their pick-up. No student will be left alone at any time. There will be a bus shuttle service from Barcelona-El Prat Airport to the hotel. All participants arriving later than 3:00 p.m. will have to arrange transportation to the hotel on their own.

In order to avoid jet lag and to ensure a comfortable and rewarding BIYSC experience from the beginning, we strongly recommend international students coming from regions far from Barcelona to plan their trip to arrive 1 or 2 days in advance, in order to be able to adapt to the local schedule. For these participants, if necessary, a pick-up and supervision service will be arranger by our Staff until the beginning of the program, but accommodation (extra nights and meals) during this period is not included in the fee.

DEPARTURE

On Friday, July 14th, 2023, after the the Closing Ceremony (around 1:30 p.m.), BIYSC will be finished.

Participants who are picked up by their parents will then be able to leave the program.

For those traveling by plane or train there will be a shuttle bus service from Hotel ALIMARA to Barcelona-El Prat Airport and a transfer to Barcelona-Sants Central Train Station. We advise participants to take, if possible, the departure flight or train from 7:00 p.m. on, and not before, in order to have enough time for the transfer and check-in, or in case of any unforeseen situation.
