Arturo Vieiro graduated in Mathematics from the University of Barcelona (UB) in the academic year 2002-2003 and completed his PhD in July 2009. Currently, he is an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at UB, where he teaches various undergraduate courses, including numerical calculus, dynamical systems, mathematical analysis, statistics, and scientific programming. Additionally, he lectures on numerical linear algebra in the “Data Science” master’s program offered by the same faculty. His research focuses on dynamical systems, particularly Hamiltonian dynamics, symplectic maps, separatrix splitting, bifurcation theory, chaos, weakly dissipative perturbations, the dynamics of strange attractors, and the development of numerical methods tailored to the study of dynamical systems.
