A key part of BIYSC are the challenges that participants are entrusted to unlock to complete successfully the program. Each challenge represents a step that BIYSC candidates are expected to get over through the process of application and participation in the program. We believe that the accomplishment of the following challenges provides the students with advantaged skills, which they can make use of to pursue all their passions and dreams in their future academic and professional scientific journey to come.

BE AUTHENTIC

PERSONAL STATEMENT AND MOTIVATION LETTER

Students must write a personal statement and a motivation letter that help them stand out. We want participants to know how to enforce their merits and competences for their future academic and professional success.

BE ASSERTIVE

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM TEACHERS AND MENTORS

Students must be confidentially recommended by their science teachers and mentors, willing to know what others think of them, what impact they create in others for whom they are and for their actions.

BE CREATIVE

GETTING FINANCIAL SUPPORT

While working in the previous challenges, applicants are encouraged to commit on their dreams by putting loads of efforts in seeking financial assistance to support their participation at BIYSC.

BE PASSIONATE

PARTICIPATION AT BIYSC 2017

The selected participants become part of BIYSC! During the two-week program, participants will live a world-class experience by working hands-on in a project of their choice and attending scientific lectures and debates. While taking part in this experience, we want to encourage our students’ passion for pursuing scientific research and careers in science.

BE AMBITIOUS

SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATION AND REPORT

As a fundamental part of science, students are encouraged to communicate and disseminate the knowledge acquired during BIYSC by preparing an oral presentation (the last day of the program) and writing a report (after the program) on the results of their research. We want them to be ambitious in their future careers, and above all, we want them to be prepared for everything they may have to overcome in their future academic and professional path.
